New Gallery: Poppies

Being a Los Angeles native, I have a strong affinity with the California poppy. Their beautiful oranges, greens and yellows made an impression on me even as a child.

But then I moved to Denver and was introduced to another kind of poppy, variously called Oriental Poppy, Red Poppy, Corn Poppy, and Field Poppy. Every Spring these spectacular 3" blossoms would cause my yard to explode with color. They look like they are made of paper and have 3 foot stems.

Alas, after a few weeks, they are all pollenated and wither away. But what a show they put on! I wanted to capture some of this Spring feekubg in this gallery. Enjoy.

Any of my prints would look great on the wall of your home, church, business or organization.

They also make beautiful greeting cards.

NEW! My print-on-demand publisher (Fine Art America) has added a new and exciting product: prints on acrylic! Light not only shines on the image; light shines through the image as well, producing brighter colors and a heightened sensation of depth.
